Silver orbs were unwavering, focused on the pair before her. She said nothing throughout the entire ordeal. She smirked slightly as the wolf did not move until the very end of the conversation, it seemed he took what she had said seriously, which for him was a good thing. As he jibbed about her being afraid he would usurp her position, she gave a quiet chuckle. If he did end up usurping her position it would be because he was better than her and she would humbly bow down... Well maybe... But she doubted that he would be able to usurp her position, as each pack usually had two betas.
As Lithium gave him a task, Asa said nothing although she tilted her head wondering where that had come from, to steal an archangel puppy. She wondered if it were just a front or if she was truly serious about it. As Tinde hissed, Asa stood up; her slate blue and gray streaked feathers rose and bared her fangs yet made no sound. Her body slightly crouched as she prepared to lunge if he took a step towards Lithium. That was her style, she made no sound and struck without warning.
As he turned away from Lithium she straightened slightly, her fangs no longer bared, although her feathers were still raised. Silver orbs watched him just as intently as before, if he was going to leave than she would escort him from Pa'chuua lands.
Yet her silver orbs turned to Lithium as she stated he had gained beta position. Her wary expression turned to one of indifference. Tinde was now a part of the Pa'chuua pack, no longer a stranger. Despite her casual thinking of the matter she continued to keep an eye on him. Who in this life could be trusted, right?
She raised an eyebrow at his banter, he had quick mood swings or was it simply a show? Asa waited, silent and still.

l i t h i u m i like her bloody lipstick...
. . .
A flicker of amusement rippled Lithium's onyx feathers as Tinde snorted in disbelief. He's no fool...still, I suppose I should step up my acting skills.
Why, seen through me already.
"I should hope so," the alpha replied, her imposing tone slipping slightly due to her new beta's flippant remark. Tinde's way of speaking could almost be compared to an accent, for those who were in its presence for long enough were sure to pick up some scraps of the merry tone. "Anyway," she continued, trying -- and failing -- to regain her frosty demeanor, "my name is Lithium...but surely, if the pack's reputation has spread as far as you have led us to believe, you would've already known that, mm?"
Certainly I cannot call you ‘madam’ so often. It makes you sound old.
"Well then, I suppose you may call me master."
Realizing that Asa had gone somewhat ignored throughout the whole exchange, the silver Archangel turned to her and murmured, "Are you willing to come with me on an 'errand' soon...?"
. . .
it tastes like cyanide.

His grin spread wider at her efforts in regaining her frosty demeanor and her slight discomfort. He vaguely wondered if he'd ever grow close enough for her to speak to him in less clipping tones. No, Tinde decided. Neither of them trusted each other and it was a fine, strange day when they would.
Why, certainly, he replied smoothly. The joust of wits had returned. As they say, the alpha is the pack, after all.
Well then, I suppose you may call me master.
His smile, strangely, grew even larger at this, to become- well, fittingly- rather wolfish. He would not get tired of this one-upping soon, he knew. His own darkened feathers rippled in delight, trembling in the nonexistent wind encased within the mists.
As much as I would indeed enjoy inflating your ego, dearest Lithium, I believe I shall pass. Light and gleeful, with no indication that he was taking any of this seriously at all. It has been fine knowing you...and you, Asa.
He turned an inquiring golden eye at his fellow beta, assessing her critically. She would, quite possibly, be the one he'd be spending the most time with. As he regarded her slate blue persona, Tinde decided that although she still seemed to hold hostility- and he couldn't blame her, really, and after all, wasn't hostility some twisted sign of respect?- he would enjoy the following days beta-ing with her. She had a strong mind and tongue, and he was glad.
Seeing Lithiun turn to her other beta, he concluded that the conversation- interrogation?- was ended. A luxuriant stretch, with all his feathers standing and his neck arched up in relishment, and then the Archangel gathered his night-hued paws and turned away daintily. Feline-like, almost. Long, hollowed legs picked themselves through the mist with a splendid gait. He would explore the rest of the lands, he mused.
And then, as he was a little ways off, the sly gentleman began- slowly- to hum the lazy, opulent tune under his breath once more. It grew, coursing and flitting alongside him until he was sure the other two Archangels could hear it. Contrary to what he had claimed, Tinde had never forgotten it.
A brief crinkling of pupil-less eyes. It was a wonderful morning.

It has been fine knowing you...and you, Asa. As Tinde turned and glanced at her, the corners of her muzzle turned upward slightly. You may take that back after you get to know me. She replied in a light tone. Her expression turned to one of regret as she thought of something. It is too bad that you did not get on Lithium's bad side, a chase would have made a great start to the day. Asa sighed as if she truly meant it. She turned back to Tinde, a grin on her muzzle... Well a grin that showed to much fang to be considered light. I am sure we could always 'play' a game of chase later.
Without another word she walked towards Lithium, her slate blue and gray streaked feathers still raised, mainly out of habit. She gave a half grin as she replied, Whenever your ready master... She replied jokingly. It seemed to be a good morning indeed, they gained another pack member, even if he had equal ranking as she did. Interesting days were soon to follow.

l i t h i u m hot and cold so no one knows your mind.
. . .
Whenever you're ready master...
"Well then, follow me, both of you." And with a flick of her silver tail and an unseen smirk, the ice queen ghosted off toward the pack's next destination: the Nyxient wolves' border.
"Ahh, the politics of murder..." The whispered statement was lost in the all-hearing mist, never to see the dawn again.
.end thread !
. . .
i was gonna let you win but now i won't break...
o o c || Can someone else start the next thread on Nyxient turf? My muse is dead, and trying to type up a starting post probably won't help it... XD;
