x Bloodred . Marrow x Marrow padded through, rain pelting his fur, soaking through to the skin. It scattered in miniature droplets, across the Timber land. Of course, he wasn't Timber. Not that he cared--those wolves could rot in he** for all he cared, nothing but sacks of scum. He padded across a patch of grass, noticing how quiet it was. Shaking the feeling off that someone was watching him, he figured, They're probably just scared of a little bit of rain. Continuing on, Marrow flicked his left ear, acute canine hearing picking up the sound of the waves lapping the shore, of a beach by the sound of it.
With a precautionary glance behind him, he picked up the pace and headed to the northwest, following the sound. Licking his maw, Marrow could almost taste the salt in the air, mixed with fresh rain. Closing his eyes for a moment, the nyxient alpha felt the fine raindrops on his muzzle, relishing the feeling for a moment. All was quiet; it didn't seem as if anyone saw him.
That was when he stood on the hill, overlooking a small cove. Golden sands lay, with cerulian waves lapping the shore. The bloody-red Archangel wolf made his way down the rocky path, noticing the tall arches overhead.

Water droplets rolled in tendrils down silverish fur. Ragnarok shook out her coat, blue orbs staring up at the clouded sky that seemed to open, letting loose buckets full of rain. She loved storms, especially rain storms. She did not frighten when it came to thunder or lightning and in fact it seemed to bring her a calm, euphoric feeling.
What attracted her to storms? What made her wonder about when it rained? Maybe it was the storm itself, the wild, free feeling that a storm brought with it. Nothing could stop a storm, it simply was. Maybe she loved the rain because, inevitably it was what made the difference in her escape, what allowed her to gain her freedom back. Maybe it was because of the unpredictability in which a storm could change; the fierceness in which it held, much like her.
For once her thoughts dominated her mind, distracting her and she did not see the archangel that descended upon the cove as her head was turned, blue orbs watching the waves. She paced further up the shore enjoying the tickling of the waves upon her slender, tall legs.
It was unusual for her to be so distracted, as she was at most times alert and aggressive. Maybe it was the closeness of the roaring waves as they crashed upon the shore that she did not hear another coming down, or the salt that she filled her mouth and nose enabling her to smell the scent of the archangel. Ragnarok sighed quietly, the sound devoured by the rushing waves as she backed away from the waves a few feet and sat down on the sand. Her tail curling about her form, blue orbs still gazing out upon the darkened water still oblivious to the other.

x Bloodred . Marrow x Marrow raised his spine-feathers a bit, the natural shades of greens and browns contrasting with his coat. He felt the dull rocks underpaw, perhaps rubbed smooth from seasons of travel. He wondered, looking upon the vast sea, if there were some wolves who have tried to swim. Idiots they must be, then, he thought. It was obvious that no one could swim that.
He turned and continued down again, water gushing from under paws and squelching, rolling downhill towards the cove. With a sniff, he knew he wouldn't be able to scent anyone coming because of the rain, and nevertheless flicked his ears backward. All he could hear was the steady pounding of the rain. Still, he knew he was being paranoid, but thought he could sense someone nearby. The wolf padded down, slipping slightly at the base, and felt the sinking, soft sand.

Ragnarok let her thoughts wander; the wind that blew in off the sea was cold, crisp, and strong yet oddly refreshing as it blew through her silver fur. The soft sand beneath her paws was cold yet massaged her paws as she got up and began to walk along the shore again. Unaware that she was headed towards the archangel that was coming closer to the shore.
The weather suddenly turned harsher. The rain began to pour harder, finally soaking through Ragnarok’s coat. The thunder that seemed far off in the center of the sea was now upon them as it rumbled loudly above. Blue orbs narrowed as she tried to look up at the sky, only to receive a face full of water. She pointed her muzzle to the ground as she shook off her whole body.
Ragnarok continued to walk forward still unaware of the archangel so close, especially now that the storm was upon them full force. The thunder and rolling of the sea roared within her ears making it impossible to hear anything else. The rain that poured down not only incapacitated the sense of smell but also made it hard to see farther than one's muzzle. Her ears went flat against her skull, blue orbs widened slightly as she launched herself to the side, instincts taking over. A second later, lightning touched the ground where she had been.
The lightning had lit up the whole cove, and it was too late to stop as she turned her head forward and spotted a figure before her. Without much warning, she crashed into the figure.

x Bloodred . Marrow x Marrow swiftly turned around to see the female wolf, obviously a Timber. With a snarl, he bared his teeth. "A Timber," The wolf raised his spine-feathers spitefully. "I thought you were all to afraid of a little big of rain to bother to come out here." He stumbled away after the crash and stepped under a wide arch, away from the rain. His red coat was distinctly different from a Timber's, as were his pale eyes and the fact that he had spine-feathers. What was this femme wolf doing out in the rain on her own? Just wandering? Look in the mirror, he told himself. Of course. He probably looked just as odd, wondering here in "enemy territory". With a startling crash of lightning, everything was lit momentarily - just enough to see the blue-eyed Ragnarok. The rain persisted, pounding even harder against the earth and threatening to swell into an even bigger storm.

Ragnarok got up slowly and was about to apologize when she heard him snarl, 'Timber.' Pale blue orbs turned to face him, watching as he bared his teeth and raised the feathers upon his back before stumbling under a wide arch out of the rain.
She attempted to look around when there was another crash of lightning. She did not wince yet she did follow where the archangel had went. Beneath the wide arch she put as much space as possible between her and the blood red hued archangel, which wasn't much. The arch was wide enough to keep the rain from hitting her but not nearly as long as she would have liked.
Blue orbs warily watched the other as she shook out her silver hued coat. Once done, she sat down and took stock of the prejudiced archangel. His coat, the color of blood which she was sure intimidated many yet at one point she herself was the bringer of blood and although it was hard to repress unpleasant memories she was not intimidated. He held power, one could tell by his muscled form and the scar on his right side. Finally, she looked in his eyes. The colors were startling, yet her expression remained indifferent. Even from a few feet away she could see the coldness, the hostility within them and she wondered if his eyes always held that coldness or if it was because she was there.
She was not intimidated by his bared maw, nor his raised feathers that signified open hostility. The storm was getting worse and she was not moving, he would have to make her. She inwardly grinned at that thought, a fight in the middle of a storm between a Timber and and Archangel... It seemed appropriate somehow.
Pale orbs regarded the blood hued archangel with coldness to match his own. Do you have a problem with Timbers, Archangel? Her tone indifferent yet seemed amused or maybe it was mockery. Do you always group things together? I may be a Timber yet I am not afraid of the storm, let alone rain." The way she said rain it seemed as if she meant more than just rain as to what she was not afraid of. She was like no other Timber.

Bloodred x Marrow "True," Marrow replied, "As am I not your average Archangel. Very well; I am not afraid to tresspass as others are, and I don't bother with playing nice as much as others do." He shook his fur and padded down the sand, closer to the water in the cove. "However, I suggest you turn back, as this isn't your business; it is mine." He looked hard at Ragnarok, then glanced at the rising tide. The wide arch continued to cover him from the storm, something he didn't mind one way or another. The wolf swept a paw through the sand for a moment, licking his maw.

Marrow replied, "As am I not your average Archangel. Very well; I am not afraid to tresspass as others are, and I don't bother with playing nice as much as others do."
That makes two of us. Ragnarok replied evenly. So don't be disgruntled when I don't take your suggestion to leave. Pale blue orbs did not flinch away from his startling eyes that gave her a hard glare. Instead, she merely smirked. If he thought that all Timbers were cowards, her existence proved him wrong. This cove is not claimed. Nor are the surrounding lands archangel occupied. Ragnarok saw him paw at the sand and wondered if he had hunted and buried his prey in the cove. Maybe this was why he wanted her to leave...
She sat down, her silver hued tail curling about her form, her pale orbs watching the rising tide yet she kept him in her peripheral sight in case he would try to attack. She chuckled quietly to herself, if he thought all Timbers were cowards, after meeting her he was sure to change cowards to annoying. I wonder, if you had met an archangel out here rather than a Timber if you be as cold as you are now? Pale orbs glanced at him before returning to staring out into tide.

Bloodred x Marrow "Yes, I see you've formed your assumption. And biased? Yes, I'm quite. Of course, I'm no ball-of-sunshine to Archangels, either, so don't feel too bad." The male wolf narrowed his eyes, not sounding sorry at all, and continued digging. He didn't bother being discreet about it; Rag didn't look like an idiot. He scented, which didn't do much use with all of the rain. Turning back to the she-wolf, he added, "So, are you going to sit and watch me? Feel free, you're in for a very boring time," which was true, watching someone dig wasn't very thrilling. Of course, digging wasn't the only thing he had in mind, so he hoped she would take the bait and leave.

"Of course, I'm no ball-of-sunshine to Archangels, either, so don't feel too bad."
Pale orbs continued to stare out into the sea, her ears perked forward as she listened to the thunder rumble in the distance and the rain patter continuously against the large body of water before her. She replied as if to reassure him she would not feel bad, "Don't worry I won't... Actually, for an archangel your not half bad." Considering he was trying to get rid of her at every turn she said the last part jokingly.
"So, are you going to sit and watch me? Feel free, you're in for a very boring time,"
Ragnarok turned to look at him, glancing out at the storm that was still brewing before returning to gaze at Marrow. "Maybe, us Timbers are afraid of the wet after all."She replied with a slight smirk. Her maw stretched in a yawn as if to signify she was not moving. I am actually enjoying myself... Well, excluding the company.
Pale orbs turned to stare at the sky above the sea water, the dark clouds seemed to swirl and swell as more rain poured from within their immense depths. I would say I was down here before you were... Not to make a claim of course... She continued without waiting for a response, The best place to watch a storm is near a large body of water... The relentless pounding of the rain against the swell of water, creating large waves and higher tides. The ferocity of it, the uncontrollable nature, the roaring of the wind and rain combined. It is strangely peaceful.
Her expression was one of half amusement and half indifference. She wondered if this wolf would think she was crazy, or maybe he would get annoyed to the point of forcing her to leave. Maybe he would think she was not right in the head, yet suddenly she turned her piercing blue orbs on Marrow again. "You know the only way to make me leave is to force me..." She raised an eyebrow, "As interesting as that would be I doubt you would spend your energy at such a task. It would not be worth the hassle nor the time it would take. She said calmly, as if the possibility of a fight did not bother nor concern her. Your indifference towards your actions betrays its importance... What are you digging up?

♣Marrow "Don't worry -- actually, for an Archangel, you're not that bad,"
Marrow smirked, his maw curving upward a bit. "Yeah, congrats - you've finally passed sarcasm phase one," He said, in return, quite sarcastically. He continued to dig, quite content to let Rag think that he was digging up prey he'd caught across their border. Quite the contrary; it couldn't be farther from the truth. He noticed her gaze sweeping across the rain-soaked lands, and half-tuned out her rubbish talk. At her mention of a fight, he gave no cue to his intentions or his prefrence, he didn't need to waste his time on her.
" ... what are you digging up?"
The bloodred wolf rolled his eyes. "Nothing of your concern, is it?" He shot back, hoping the relic was still there.

"Yeah, congrats - you've finally passed sarcasm phase one,"
Ragnarok feigned an expression of appreciation, “Wow, nice come back.” She switched to an expression of concern, You might want to take it easy, I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself trying to think up the next one… The corners of her muzzle turned upward in good humor. He was right to a point; she was beginning to get bored… or rather getting tired. She was tempted to lie down yet she did not trust the archangel not to far from her.
Blue orbs turned to watch him dig as he stated…
"Nothing of your concern, is it?"
Ragnarok shrugged indifferently, I suppose not, but I guess it will be obvious when you find whatever it is your looking for. She truly did not care what he was digging up, though she was a bit curious. Silver ears turned sideways as the rumbling of the thunder grew less intense. It seemed the storm was winding down, slowly but surely. You know for a wolf you take life too seriously. She was quiet a moment, The name is Ragnarok... that way you know the name of the wolf that annoyed the hell out of you on this particular night...
Ooc: Mind reading? I wouldn’t do that… At least, I haven’t been trying to, if I have please let me know and I apologize ahead of time…

♣Marrow Marrow continued digging, and in one swift movement he held the relic in his maw. With a glance at Ragnarok, he said, "You don't speak of this to anyone, understand?" He growled, snarling and revealing a set of flaming razor-sharp teeth. He padded off into the rainstorm, with a glance behind him at Rag, narrowing his eyes.

Ragnarok sat in silence, letting her thoughts wander as her gaze once more drifted from the rolling waves to the digging figure. She was slightly surprised when the archangel stopped digging, only to reveal... not prey... but instead a... relic of some sort. Her confusion was well hidden beneath a mask of indifference. What does this wolf need with something like that? And why be so protective about it? Her thoughts went unanswered.
"You don't speak of this to anyone, understand?"
As the archangel snarled, she stood. Blue orbs narrowing slightly, her own ears perked forward. As he revealed his own sharp teeth she merely grinned in return. Yet her grin was cold, humorless and showed her own set of sharp teeth that seemed to gleam in the dark. "I don't intimidate easily Archangel nor do I take orders." She wasn't just any Timber, she wouldn't just roll on her belly just because this arrogant archangel thought he was above her. She had nothing to lose, which made her dangerous.
Blue orbs stared unimpressed as Marrow turned his head and glared at her. She turned in the opposite direction heading towards the waves once more. Her tail half raised, her ears backwards to catch any paw fall in case Marrow decided to come after her.

♣Marrow "Of course, there is more than one way to silence one," He replied, a dark grin spreading across his face. He wasn't going to waste his time exercising this Timber's strengths, but he was going to have some fun first. The Archangel stepped forward, and in one fleeting movement he sunk his teeth into her spine. A flaming-hot sensation spread throughout his bones, reaching his teeth. The canines, boiling hot to the touch, sank deeper in and threatening to cause quite a bloody mess.
ooc|| not trying to powerplay; but if its okay with you ... and don't beat yourself up, Rag's plenty interesting - the plot of this thread just isn't that pressing. ;)
