Asa’s pink tongue lolled out the side of her mouth as she panted and slowed her run to a slow walk. For the rest of the afternoon and early evening she had been switching from full out sprinting to a slow trot. Now, she was near tired yet she had made it close to the edge of the Kin Fell border. Slate blue ears perked up as she heard a slight rushing sound, turning and heading further into the trees and veering off the mountain trail she had been traveling on, she came upon a small creek of water which ran down the way she had came. She lowered her muzzle to the water and lapped up the cool, clear water. She remained in this position for awhile; finally she lifted her muzzle, water dripping down her muzzle to her chest before dripping to the ground. Laying down, she gazed about her alert for any others that may be near by. She thought of the travel here. Asa had deliberately taken a back trail, one that did not seem to be used in a long while. Yet, that had created complications. At one point there was a rock wall that would be impossible for most creatures yet archangels were made with thick upper muscles for a reason and she had just cleared it. The path itself was not worn by the use of other animals and was littered with fallen pines and thick moss in some parts making it slippery. Despite all of that she had made it in decent time, or at least she thought so.
Moonlight reflected from her silver orbs making them look brighter than usual as she stood finally feeling rested. Her feathers rose as she shook her whole body, the wind working the aches from between her stiff feathers. With a deep inhale and exhale of breath, the slate blue and gray streaked feathers settled once more upon her back. Turning back towards the trail, Asa continued forward until she could smell the faint scent markings of another. With her nose to the ground, Asa began to decipher the scent markings. She switched continuously from scenting the air to scenting the ground. She was no longer traveling north. Having reached the borderline of Kin Fell territory, she followed the border wavering in and out of it trying to decipher the scent markings and looking for other signs of wolves. From what she could tell so far was only one male had marked the border and that would be the alpha. Asa could assume than that there was indeed only one alpha but she would do her scouting mission thoroughly. The markings seemed slightly old yet they were still strong.
Silver orbs looked to the starry sky, ears perked forward, nose to the wind as she once again insured she was alone and no one was coming. She had made little if any sound on her travel to the border and she was almost sure no one had seen her, and all the scents upon the trail she had used were faint.
She decided she would attempt to cover as much ground as possible by a little after sunrise the next day before turning and heading back to Pa’chuua land. Asa began a crisscrossing pattern, this was to ensure to she did not miss part of the territory while trying to stay within the cover of tall ferns, the vast pines and the shadows. During all of this she remained alert.
