Pat, pat, pat. Silently, four paws hit the cold and ash earth floor below her. Multicoloured, black and white claws as normal always scratching at the cold damp earth below, scratched up at the crumbling floor below. Just by looking at the ground or even just the surrounding, a volcano had erupted long ago, and only now was the scavenging or remains life starting to pull through the ashes and cooled lava that spewed over the whole landscape. She could feel the moist feeling under her paws and this meant two things; there was a water source somewhere near by; and there was water, wet and gross. She hated water, but it wasn’t two bad, it was only moist which meant good things, and she wouldn’t get very wet if she did stay here, it would suck if she had to lay in puddles, but all that would gather here was dew.
Two clear, empty blue, mixed with a pale, pupil-less green eyes scanned over the landscape looking for something that she could eat, but it didn’t look like much. Though this picture looked scary and deserted, it was alluring to her and she wanted it, she just wanted to stay here. Then again, it was almost empty, and it gave her room to run, and that is what she would do right this moment. Her two front legs lunged forwardly pulling her hind legs behind her. Her front claws dug into the ground, it was just soft enough for her to sink them in and get a grip to have her hind legs meet her front and dig in just an inch away from her front and get her another powerful lung as she used her haunches to push and give more power for the next. She went on keeping her eyes keen on all that was around her, exploring the land and she seemed to catch everything that was there not missing a dew drop on a leaf. She slowed her pace as she made a wide turn around a tree and pulled back into a trot over to her starting position. It seemed like it was possible to reach all points and lots of room to run, that was nice.
When she had placed paw on this place there was no sun just the slight glaze of the moon. This made her fur look keen, a beautiful shimmer of purple and sliver flushed over her body and her short and stubby silver tail lay flat and curious. Now, there was no moon, the sun was beginning to ease up behind the mountain, a beautiful sight. She had always been known to be a late wander, or an early riser, she never slept much unless she had been up to hours in the night that some wouldn’t dream of. She had gotten a sweet lullaby of a sleep the night before, she had a nice sleep in a soft mossy, but not moist it was just what she liked, and she loved that sleep, she never had a good one in a while, so obliviously she would have a nice one, in something that she would dream of sleeping in every night. But because it wasn’t moist there was not that much prey, so it wasn’t nice. She looked to her dripping paws, they weren’t soaked to the skin, she had a nice water proof layer of fur over her paws so they just has some dripping water on them, nothing that she couldn’t withstand.
Just look around, this is what you like, it’s nice, dry but just a little moisture that indicated that there is a water source somewhere near, and then there is cover but running room, leg room, and a nice warm place could be made here. This is what raced through her mind, and that is what she liked, this was just what she liked and it seemed to represent her as well. Cold and dark. Nice and lovely.
Silver fur swayed in a scuffle, a wind cool but warm at the same time washed through each single strand of fur – it felt like that anyway – and soothed her and while it was still there she sucked in as much as she could, her lungs filled up with precious air and she held it for a moment, then started to exhale, slowly.
She passed though the black meadow and then headed off for the pure and crystal round lake. She let her paws sink into the golden sands that surrounded her feet; the silky golden sands filled in the spaces in-between her toes. She lets out a small rumble. She shut her eyes and let the wind that blew off the pure lake. She re-opened them and then closed her eyes and looked down at her paws that were sinking down in the sand. She looked over at the grey rocks at the sides of her. She wondered if she would see any one else. She rasped her tongue around her maw and then wanted a drink of water. She didn’t want to drink the water that was in front of her, it was beautiful pure water, and it scared water.
She opened her maw wide and realized the sharp pain that clashed into the bones of her jaw. She winced in pain. She hated the pain that she had in her maw, it was just annoying she hated what ever you called it, it was a nuisance. She would have it worse some days than others, and today was a bad day to have it. She sighed, she would ignore it. Her chest heaved and she let her paws slide down so that she was lying down far enough away from the lake that she wouldn’t get us but the air would reach her that pretty air would reach her. Her ears twitched, and her fur just swayed in the constant wind, she liked it. She closed her eyes, and set her maw over her paws and looked over at the sun, closed her eyes and just let her ears listen to the sounds around her, she wouldn’t fall asleep, but she would be close to it.
